Galle (uttale: «Gall» – én stavelse) er en by på sørkysten av Sri Lanka, 116 km fra Colombo. Byen er bebodd av den signalesiske flertallsfolkningen, og hadde i 2004 et beregnet folketall på 92.600. Byen er hovedstad for distriktet Galle.


Galle var kjent som "Gimhathiththa" før portugiserne kom på 1500-tallet, og var den gangen øyas viktigste havn. Byen bare vokste i betydning helt til 1700-tallet, da britene ble koloniherrer. De foretrakk å utvikle havnen i Colombo.


Galle er ett eksempel i Sør-Asia på en by befestet av europeerne, der man ser samspillet mellom europeiske arkitektoniske stilarter og sørasiatisk byggestiler. Byens borg (Galle Fort), som er oppført på
UNESCOS liste over verdensarven, er det største gjenværende fort i Asia som ble bygd av europeere, Blant andre fremtredende landemerker er den katolske St. Aloysius-katedralen og dets tilliggende kollegiebygninger.


Den 26. desember 2004 ble byen hardt rammet rammet av en massiv tsunami utløst av en rekke undersjøiske jordskjelv langs en linje fra vest for Sumatra til Andamanene. Tusener av byens innbyggere omkom. (Se Jordskjelvet i Indiahavet 2004).
