Rossbarrieren er den største isbremmen i Antarktis, og dekker et område på 487 000 km² (omtrent på størrelse med Frankrike) lengst sør i Rosshavet.


Isen er flere hundre meter tykk med en nesten vertikal front mot det åpne havet, er nesten 600 km i lengde og ligger mellom 15 og 50 meter over vannflaten. 90 prosent utgjør flytende is under havets overfate. Det meste av isbremmen ligger i den sektoren som New Zealand har gjort krav på. Den ble oppdaget av, og gitt navn etter kaptein James Clark Ross, som oppdaget den 28. januar 1841. Ross karla isfronten østover mot 160º V.


Rossbarrieren fikk et dystert minne da den i 1912 ble stedet hvor den britiske oppdageren Robert Falcon Scott og hans følge omkom på tilbaketuren fra Sydpolen.
