I am using "Clip" to sort out all the fire stations that within the boundary of a city, which is a practice from the book, Mastering QGIS(second edition). However, my QGIS 3.6 Noosa goes wrong with the command, as is shown in the following pictures. What should I do?

the error message seems quite clear, you need to fix your invalid geometry. There are plenty of questions and answers on this site that will help with that. Also please don't put screenshots of your errors in to questions use the text instead.

Just run the Fix Geometries tool within QGIS, then use the output as your new input layer (or overlay, whatever layer is causing the problem).
