I want to calculate a newly added field with a created variable and an existing field. Here is the screenshot.
I create a new variable named "Sum_Area" and want to calculate a field "rate" with field "SUM_Shape_Area" divided by "Sum_Area". But the calculate field management does not work. Could anyone tell me where I am wrong?

arcpy.CalculateField_management('stats..','rate','!sum_shape_area!/'.format(Sum_Area),'PYTHON_9.3) should do the job. It's failing because you don't have a field called Sum_Area, using the format statement inserts the value of the Sum_Area variable into the calculation string. Please paste code as text, it's tedious retyping what you have in your screen shot, much easier to copy into notepad, change what's needed and then paste into an answer.
